Erin Garrett-Metz

Erin Garrett-Metz is an artist who works in oil paint, fabric and mixed media. Traditional oil portraiture and 3-D “paintings” in fabric point to the beauty of people, animals and the endangered planet. Erin grew up in Vermont, drawing and painting constantly. She has a BA from Vassar College, an MFA from American University, and worked as a writer for years before devoting herself to visual arts. She is a member of the Rockport Art Association, where her work has been shown. Her commissioned pieces are in private collections around the country. She lives with her husband and three children on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
